As our celebration of National Nursing Home Week came to a close, our home was transformed into a Hawaiian Luau. Grilled chicken, shrimp and smoked sausage kabobs, fresh pineapple and other fresh fruit and vegetables were enjoyed by our Elders, Stakeholders and welcome guests who came in recognition of NNHW and Signature HealthCare’s Global Day of Prayer event. What an exciting and memorable time this week has been for us all. Thank you to all of those who have worked to enrich the lives of our Elders at Prestonsburg HealthCare. We are truly grateful for the continued support of our community partners.
Special thanks to Prestonsburg Mayor, Les Stapleton, city employees and representatives, Matt Smith (Destination Community Church), Brian Conn (Floyd County Times), and to Ally Davis (Prestonsburg High School Sophomore) for sharing her gift of inspirational song. Our hearts and voices united in prayer asking our great God to be present in our home. A “Blessing of the Hands” service was administered in honor of the work done through our beloved Nursing staff.
