Tuesdays celebration during National Nursing Home Week took us to the year 1955 when the price of a postage stamp was $.03 and the sounds of Rock Around the Clock were heard by Bill Haley and His Comets…Elders and Stakeholders at Prestonsburg HealthCare Center enjoyed the sights, sounds and tastes of the day. Joy filled our dining room and patio area as our residents reminisced about the “good ole days” that came to mind when they saw our stakeholders in their 50’s costumes and heard popular music from the decade. “Cindy’s Diner” served up hot dogs, hamburgers and banana splits. Musical chairs, Name that Tune, Checkers & Hot Potato games brought about friendly competition in our home and at the end of the day, we are all winners to be part of the Signature revolution!
